This is my review of 21Dukes Casino.
There are all kinds of heads of state in the world. Some countries have presidents, some have prime ministers, kings, queens, sultans, princes, emirs, and more. Another type of head of state is the duke, and this time I will be going over a brand called 21Dukes Casino. I do not know why there would be 21 of them, but I guess the number could be some sort of a reference to the game of blackjack.
During the intro of my casino reviews, I typically mention the company that owns the said brand. With 21Dukes, however, I was unable to locate any such information, which means I cannot really enlighten you any further. I will talk more on this under the safety and security section of my review, though…
It is now time to duke it out with this casino review!
Looks and feel of 21Dukes Casino
Not all online casinos look good on the surface, but 21Dukes Casino certainly does. While the site mostly places its trust in dark colors, the white fonts look pretty cool amidst all the blackness. The homepage, too, has a lot going on for itself with all types of tabs and things to look out for. While it is not necessarily the simplest of interfaces, at least you get the sense that there is plenty to enjoy here.
The 21Dukes Casino website functions smoothly and has all the necessary features that you would want from a modern online casino. This includes the game provider-based search as well as links to customer support, promotions, tournaments (or races), and more.
Bonuses and rewards
I always tend to get a little bit uncomfortable when I see online casinos advertising bonuses that look too good to be true. Having followed this business for years and years, I have the kind of Spidey sense that can usually spot when something is wrong. With 21Dukes Casino, the website is touting a 750% bonus, which is essentially split between three deposit bonuses:
1st deposit: 200% bonus up to 2000 + 30 free spins
2nd deposit: 250% bonus up to 2500 + 50 free spins
3rd deposit: 300% bonus up to 3000 + 30 free spins
These bonuses already sound suspicious, but on top of this, the casino talks about how it will “double your first deposit with a 200% bonus.” This kind of verbiage makes things even more complex, as it is not really a 200% bonus if you are only doubling the deposit… What is more, the wagering requirement is quite high at 35x for both the bonus and the deposit.
Games Selection
As I already noted, 21Dukes lets you filter games based on the provider. There are not that many game providers available here, though, with Pragmatic Play slots, Betsoft slots, Octopus Gaming, and Vivo Gaming being your only options. Granted, Pragmatic Play and Betsoft should be enough to entertain you, but Vivo Gaming only works in the live casino niche and I had never heard of Octopus Gaming before. So yeah, while it is not the most comprehensive games selections by any means, at least you should be able to find something worthwhile to play.
A decent game to start with would be Book of Vikings from Pragmatic Play. Released during the Summer of 2021, this slot is essentially a copy of Greentube’s Book of Ra and Play’n GO’s Book of Dead with some bonus buying options and amazing musical pieces thrown into the mix!
Safety and security
Here is where things with 21Dukes become a bit dicey, to say the least.
I tried to go through the site but was unable to find any information on licenses or the company that is behind 21Dukes. The only meaningful reference that I found was an inspirational quote from someone called Paul Atkinson who, according to the website, is the casino’s marking manager. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any information on a fellow such as this in relation to 21Dukes or any other marketing manager role. What is more, in its About Us section, 21Dukes seems to bring up things like its casino’s small carbon footprint, which feels rather weird considering the casino’s complete lack of transparency elsewhere.
When searching the Internet, I also found some players complaining about 21Dukes’ and its sister casinos’ withdrawal policies. While there is no way for me to verify that these truly are valid concerns and objective opinions, I have to say I believe them and things like this would definitely fall in line with the feeling that I got from 21Dukes!
Banking options at 21Dukes Casino
To fund your account at 21Dukes Casino, you need to use either Visa or Mastercard or one of the many cryptocurrencies accepted.
If you deposited via credit card, the only way to withdraw your money seems to be via bank transfer, which is said to take 5 to 15 business days. In addition to this wait time, withdrawing players need to wait for 72 hours before their withdrawal requests are actually processed. And, to make things even worse, it is said that these time frames may extend even further due to the casino needing to collect documentary evidence of the customer’s identity.
All in all, it seems you need to allow 21Dukes weeks of time to finally send your withdrawal over to you. This sounds ludicrous, given the fact that some casinos out there will accomplish the same in mere hours.
Support
21Dukes claims to offer 24/7 casino support, but it seems to only be available via email.
My experience at 21Dukes Casino
Remember how I mentioned how 21Dukes looks good on the surface? Thinking back about that comment, could the casino be overcompensating for something? To me, it seems like the casino is trying to come off as this wonderful service with a low carbon footprint and all of that, but at the same time, its fundamentals seem shaky at best.
With so many remarkable casinos in our database, I would not give 21Dukes the benefit of the doubt.
