This is my review of Casino1.
Gambling has always been a huge thing in my native Finland. It is actually the state here that has monopolized all gambling and has slot machines at every corner. Just about every pub, grocery store and kiosk that you go to, you will find a bunch of slot machines blaring in the back. This has also made Finnish gamblers a pretty common sight at all the online casinos of the world!
When I first started playing online, I would pretty much play at any casino that gave me great bonuses. Now, with the wisdom of years, however, I know better and put a larger emphasis on things like safety and security…
Buckle your seatbelts, because, in this review, I will be talking about a casino called Casino1, which is a Game Tech Group casino established in 2016!
Looks and feel of Casino1
Casino1 is an okay-looking online casino. It would seem like the developers put most of their effort into making the first things that you see here good. The lower that you scroll on the site, the more boring things will get. Even the main color is grey, which is not exactly something that will get your adrenaline pumping from the get-go.
Bonuses and rewards
As I said in the intro already, when I was just starting with my online casino hobby, I probably used to go for the biggest bonuses that I could find. It was then that I spent my time at casinos like Casino1—not fully knowing what I was getting myself into. At the time of writing, Casino1 was offering its customers three deposit bonuses worth of 400%, 200% and another 400%.
Let us say you want to deposit 40 euro. Casino1 will match your deposit with 160 of bonus money and you will get to play with 200 euro! Sounds pretty cool right? Well, the caveat is that you will need to wager the whole sum 33 times, meaning that there is a wagering requirement of 6,600 coming your way!
High wagering requirements are obviously a hurdle that is quite hard to jump over.
On the gaming side of things, Casino1 does not have too much to offer for those wanting to play games from the hottest European providers. There are some games from Big Time Gaming, ELK Studios, Thunderkick, Wazdan, Betsoft and a few others, though, that you will probably find enjoyable. The likes of NetEnt, Quickspin and Play’n GO are not available here.
The live casino section at Casino1, on the other, is stacked. Evolution Gaming, SA Live and Lucky Streak are just a few examples of the providers found here!
Safety and security
Game Tech Group casinos do not have a very good reputation in the industry. In the past, they have been caught using pirated NetEnt games, for example, and there are also claims that they have been confiscating some players’ wins on a whim. Suffice to say, it is incredibly important to carefully follow all the rules Casino1. From what I have heard, these people will not hesitate to penalize you for the slightest mistakes (for example using a too high bet for once during a 3-hour session and not even winning anything with it). Sadly, the Curacao license would seem to allow quite a bit of foul play from its carriers.
Banking options at Casino1
Visa, Mastercard, Ecopayz, Neteller, Skrill—those are some of the payment methods useable here. What is terrible, though, is that withdrawals can take up to 5 days to be processed.
One thing I cannot fault Casino1 for is their speedy customer support. Live chat is available 21 hours a day, 7 days a week, and had no waiting time whatsoever when I contacted them.
My experience at Casino1
I have had a couple of bad experiences with Curacao casinos before where I was stripped of my winnings. Frankly, it sucked, so I am all for only playing at online casinos that you know that you can trust.
I would compare playing at Casino1 to going for a walk in a dangerous neighborhood. Chances are that nothing bad will happen, but if it does, you will regret that you went there.
